Just my luck.

Last night we went to the fair and we had only been there for about a half an hour when we saw that the sky was getting darker and darker with clouds. We were getting a little wary of this but thought it would just be some bad rain until a cool breeze blew through as though someone opened a door. Moments before we had all been sweating real bad and then all of a sudden it was cold. We finished up Daniels ride and we got the hell out of there. A tornado went across all of Indianapolis and we all had to camp out in the basement for a while. The thunder was so loud that we could hear and feel it all the way in the basement where Suzanne and Daniel and Daisy were hiding under the pool table. I wanted to go look for it outside but the radio said that the tornado was moving so fast that if you were doing just that, by the time you saw it in the dark, you wouldn't be able to run fast enought to get back inside. The power went off for a little while and when it came back on, the radio station we were listening to before was all static. I was so excited the whole time. I've always wanted to see a tornado and I think I did a good job of puting myself in tornado ally in tornado season. :P Anyway. The tornado went around us and we're all safe. Hopefully there won't be too much damage on the roads so that we don't have trouble driving to St. Louis. The ironic part is that the tonado didn't hit the fair grounds but it's now under a foot and a half of water. Either way, it was good that we got out when we did.

Good thing your aunt was smart enough to realize that a drastic change in weather in never a good sign. And if you hadn't mentioned you were in tornado alley, I would've smacked you. I was expecting you to be all "Omg, I never would've expected this, it scared the shit out of me." Then I really would've smacked you. Lol. Tornados are cool when they're around you, and not going through your house. Last few days of school during 8th grade year, we had a real bad tornado warning and it was pretty cool b/c I was in PE class at that time, so we hung out in the gym. Until the tornado warning turned into a tornado alert, then we had to sit in the hallways...arg. Lol.
